Questions we hear a lot

Straight answers on crowns, implants, cavities and insurance. If your question isn’t here, call us at (519) 746-5600 and we’ll walk you through it.

What are dental crowns and tooth bridges?

A crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged tooth to strengthen and protect it. A bridge covers the gap left by missing teeth, anchored to neighbouring teeth, and functions just like your natural teeth once placed.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are titanium posts placed directly into your jawbone. A crown, bridge, or denture is placed over them, yielding permanent, natural-looking teeth that don't need to be removed nightly.

What exactly is a cavity?

A cavity is a hole in the tooth caused by decay. It allows more food and plaque to accumulate, worsening the problem. A cavity detected early should be filled as soon as possible to prevent further damage.

How often should I brush my teeth?

Twice daily for optimal dental health. Regular brushing removes the plaque that accumulates on tooth surfaces and keeps your teeth clean between visits.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept all insurance plans, including student plans, and bill your insurer directly so you don't have to pay upfront. Flexible payment plans are also available.
